Clary Fray: Molly C. Quinn. I think she's perfect.

Jace Wayland: Alex Pettyfer. Blond curly hair. Chiseled good looks.

Simon Lewis: Gaspard Ulliel.

Isabelle Lightwood: Alexandra Daddario, from The Lightning Thief. I think she has the right hair, body type and attitude.

Alec Lightwood: Adam Gregory. Totally stole this from another little girl's website (http://liptease.livejournal.com/8090.html). She has some great ideas on there. You might recognize some of my other picks from her site. :D

Magnus Bane: Colin Cunningham. This is how I pictured him, but taller. It doesn't totally work because by the third book you find out that he looks more like he's 17.

Jocelyn Fray: Bridget Reagan. She's from The Seeker. I think she looks great for Clary's mom.

Lucian Graymark: Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

The Host. Casting by Chels

• Melanie Stryder: Sophia Bush. Melanie needs to have dark hair with a tan athletic body. I think Sophia fits.

• The Voice of Wanda: Jennifer Connelly. Wanda's voice needs to be an older woman's voice, but not decrepit. I think Jennifer's voice can sound wise, but youthful.

• Jared Howe: Tatum Channing. Jared needs to be muscular and hardened, but have a hidden soft side. I think Tatum can do this.
  

• Ian O'Shea: Jared Padalacki. Ian is softer than Jared in my mind, but still muscular. This guys works. I might find someone better.

• Pet: Anna Sophia Robb. So Pet has to look like she fits with Ian. I think she needs to have a serious side to her, but also look like she giggles easily.
  

• Kyle O'Shea: Tom Welling. Ian looks just like Ian only bigger and taller. I think Tom looks like he could be Mr. P's older brother. It works.

• Sunny: Emmy Rossum. I feel like Sunny's host, Jody?, could have been more serious, like a bookworm, but Sunny brings out the doe-in-the-headlights feel while still looking cute.
  

• Jeb: Donald Sutherland. Jeb has to have a sense of humor and have some old-man muscles. I think Mr. Sutherland could be harsh or kind and joking at the drop of a hat, so I think he would be good in this role.

• Seeker: Alexis Dziena. The Seeker has to be short, wiry and full of fire. In the roles I've seen Alexis play I think she could pull this off.

I wanted someone early 20s, light brown hair, a more athletic build, and girl-next-door pretty. I have never heard of this girl before, but when I saw the picture I thought, Bingo!!

Melanie runner-ups: Jessica Biel (if she were younger), Sophia Bush


Jared: Jared Padalecki
Ok, I have already been corrected for this. I realize now that Jared is supposed to have blond-ish hair. This is almost exactly how I pictured Jared when I read the book though.

Ian: I'm a bit torn...
I still haven't found my perfect Ian. I pictured him with medium blond hair (again, I have been corrected that it is supposed to be brown), average build, and overall nice-guy looks.
Jensen Ackles is an obvious choice.... but not quite perfect in my mind.
Hmmm... Maybe Captain Wentworth? (Rupert Penry-Jones)
Kyle: Christian Bale
I didn't have Christian Bale in my head while reading. I had more of a generic football-player sized guy in mind. When I saw pictures of him though, I thought he would fit the role perfectly.

The Seeker: Victoria Beckham.
She is exactly what I had in mind.

Doc: Hugh Laurie
He might be a little old, but I still think he fits the mold. (Hey... that rhymes!)
